Carnival 2 Day Cruise
Last modified: November 1, 2010Time is short these days, and that is certainly showing with all the short vacations that people are taking. It seems that people can no longer afford to take the time to go on a week long vacation, so they go on short sporadic trips to different places. It would seem that the days of hanging out in the game room at a Myrtle Beach hotel after a long day of swimming are long past, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still have fun on a short vacation! It would seem that with these new developments in the way people spend their free time, many cruise lines, including Carnival have kept up. Recently Carnival introduced something brand new: The Carnival 2 Day Cruise.
It sounds strange, that a cruise ship would only go out for two days, but it’s quite true. The newest ship, the Carnival Valor was completed recently completed at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy, and Carnival wanted to give it’s new 110,000 ton monstrosity a short maiden voyage that would give it’s passengers a taste of what a voyage on this first rate ship could actually be like.
Indeed, a trip on this beautiful cruise liner could really be heavenly, as it features 12 full passenger decks, a sushi bar, a poolside restaurant capable of seating 1,200 people, golf courses, theaters, a two level dining room, and even a fancy reservation only restaurant for those evenings when you just felt like dining in style! There are also several swimming pools for you to enjoy, and this is probably for the best seeing as they don’t want you diving off the side of the boat to go swimming.
It features many more restaurant, including a ‘Bronx’ style restaurant where you can have a little piece of New York on the high seas. There are even places for teens to hang out, as well as children who are ages 2-11. This boat has everything that you could possibly want or need in a vacation spot, and even though it’s 2 day window fits your schedule, you’ll find yourself wishing for more soon enough.
You’ll also find massage parlors, shopping centers, and that’s just on the ship. There is even more to be experience at the different ports of call, though this cruise only goes to the Bahamas.
It’s unknown at this time if the company plans to continue selling its Carnival 2 Day cruise. As far as anyone can tell it is to be a one time only thing, much to the disappointment of many people who wanted to go on a short vacation and get back to their lives the very next day.
Security on cruise ships is relatively tight, but keep in mind that you’ll need to keep a close eye on all of your belongings, and there are a few measures that you can take to keep your money safe. One thing you can do is keep your money in a pouch rather than in a wallet, as it is much easier for a thief to steal your money from a pouch.
A Carnival 2 day cruise is perfect for those who only want a short vacation, and great for those who just want a taste of what a carnival cruise can actually be like. So if you’ve ever wanted to have a vacation on the high seas and weren’t sure if you’d actually like it, then head out and have yourself the time of your life!
